Cutting-edge defence technology is widely sought-after across different sectors, sometimes even in unexpected areas like the motorsport industry where the crossover is quite remarkable.
Technologies involving impact control, aerodynamics and velocity are just a few examples of possible applications, and companies looking to expand into the lucrative area would struggle to find a better platform than the Autosport International Show (ASI).
Held every January the show is widely regarded as the most influential motorsport exhibition in the world with one whole trade area, Autosport Engineering, dedicated solely to technical suppliers.
It attracts more than 850 companies and 27,000 trade and press visitors, including 4,000 from overseas, giving invaluable opportunities to showcase engineering excellence to potential motorsport and performance engineering clients. Conservative estimates put the amount of business influenced by this year’s show at around £686million over the two trade days, clearly illustrating its status and influence.
Recognising the possibilities presented by the event, the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has entered into a strategic partnership with ASI to ensure its members in design, manufacturing and related sectors of the defence industry are the first to hear about opportunities and special offers.
“The ASI Show embodies the core aim of the Society of Automotive Engineers: to encourage excellence and innovation in the automotive engineering sector,” said Dave Smith who is proud to be working in close collaboration with Haymarket Exhibitions and Autosport Engineering. “Anyone involved in
