Deployable Support and Test Equipment IPT (DS&TE IPT)
DS&TE IPT, renamed from Workshop Support Services and Test and Measurement Group, is responsible for the deployable repair capability of each of the three services as well as the tri-service provision of all test and measurement equipment. It supplies the tools, repair systems and test equipment which allows the armed forces' personnel to diagnose, inspect, maintain, calibrate and repair their equipment. Its areas of specialisation include physical, optical, electrical and electronic equipment testing, calibration, railway systems and permanent way repair, automotive testing and repair, deployable automatic test equipment, containerised systems and workshop tools and equipment.
Defence Clothing IPT (DC IPT)
DC IPT is responsible for the development, procurement, supply management and support functions required to provide clothing and associated items for the armed forces. A major role of DC IPT is to deliver clothing capability for all ongoing operations, including Iraq and Afghanistan. The IPT also provides for MoD civilian dependencies such as the MoD Police, Military Guard Service and the MoD Fire Service. The latest kit to be put in to service includes Under Body Armour Combat Shirt (UBACS) designed to be worn under protective body armour and made of special fabric that absorbs sweat, new tactical assault vest worn over the Osprey body armour, new soft leather gloves and special goggles that eliminate fogging.
Defence Food Services IPT (DFS IPT)
